Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

Such is the case with Felicia Sullivan’s blog.
I met Felicia at BlogHer, after she stood up for me during the Penelopetrunkcapade. I’ve been reading and enjoying her blog ever since. Felicia’s memoir, The Sky Isn’t Visible From Here, just came out and I’m currently reading it. It is raw and painful and yet so beautifully written that I’m utterly in awe of her talent. Right now, she’s in the midst of all the hubbub that comes with a big book release, but rather than writing glib and breezy posts about all the publicity her book is getting as many writers would have done, Felicia is sharing her anxiety about exposing the darkest parts of her life to the world, as well as her fears, her joys and her disappointments. To me, her blog makes reading her book an even more real and personal experience.
I write all of this to say that Felicia gets my Perfect Post Award for this month. This post in particular, The Gift That Relapse Brings, is a perfect example of Felicia’s incredibly candid writing. Congratulations, Felicia, and thank you for putting yourself, your real self, out there not only in your memoir, but also each day on your blog.
And now, I hope you’ll go and check out the other winners of January’s Perfect Post Awards. You’ll find them all listed here and over at Kimberly’s blog. If you’d like to participate in next month’s Perfect Post Awards, just send me an e-mail.

>Lindsay,Wow! What a wonderful gift to receive first thing in the morning. Thank you so much for your unbelievable love and support. It’s weird-I’m having the most amazing and difficult year I’ve know and nothing about publishing this book has been easy. However, it’s posts like yours that make this rather difficult journey that much more easy and welcoming. Thank you, FOXY WOMAN, for your love.xoxoxox, Felicia
