>It was a “good mommy” day. I met a friend and we took our kids to the botanical garden.
Who knew so many adventures could take place inside the walls of Cheekwood?
First, there was A FROG.
The kids spent a good five minutes following it down the sidewalk.
Next, Punky’s friend picked up a large earthworm. Punky wasn’t interested in holding it but she did name it ‘Snelly Kate.’ And no, I have no idea what that means.
Bruiser was a little more worm-friendly.
Punky turned her attention to finding nuts, a favorite outdoor hobby of hers.
Kewl.
Then it was time for roly polys, located on top of a large, flat stone.
The roly poly exchange was a solemn one.
Because, as everyone knows, roly polys are serious business.
I will show her these pictures in a few years, when she’s afraid of bugs again.
The gardens are a magical place. I always get the most amazing pictures here.
And this visit marked a milestone- It was the first time Bruiser could run along with us without a stroller.
And that means we will be back far more often.
Which means you’ll have to suffer through far more pictures.
