After reading this article, I’m pretty sure that Lynne Spears may well win the title for World’s Worst Mother.

Can you even believe this woman? She reveals in her new tell-all memoir that Britney lost her virginity at 14 to a Kentwood High School football player, which means that Britney first lied to the world about being a virgin, then lied to Justin Timberlake, telling him that he was her first, then lied again to the world, saying that she’d lost her virginity to Justin Timberlake.

It’s convoluted, I know, but the real problem I have with all of this is that Lynne Spears is giving us all this highly personal information, about her own daughter.

And she shares even more, telling us about Britney’s drinking at 13 and her drug use at 14. Thanks, Lynne, for the lowdown! Gee, you’re better than TMZ. And I’m sure you got paid a bundle for the news.

I can’t imagine a mother sinking much lower than Lynne Spears has sunk, sharing her own emotionally troubled daughter’s deepest secrets for cash.

Suddenly, it makes sense that Britney lost control of her life as a child star. Lynne Spears was supposed to be her defender and advocate. Clearly, she failed miserably in that role. How devastating it must be to have a mom who sells you out over and over and over again.
