We do have a membership, after all.
And so, when I walked outside today and found that it was, strangely, room temperature, I got the kids ready (Punky chose the dress, by the way, not me! Also, it’s a dress I wore when I was her age!) and we headed off to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, my favorite spot in all of Nashville… partly because it’s absolutely beautiful.
You’d smile, too, if this was the view from your Fruit Snack pit stop.
Bruiser and I spent most of our afternoon trying to keep up with Punky.
Bruiser caught up as often as he could, and he and his sister shared several special “moments” together.
We paid a visit to the lions.
And the bravest of the brave even rode on one.
We looked at lots and lots of flowers.
We took breaks as needed.
And I took as many pictures as I could. I want to remember this little face, just as it is, forever.
What is he thinking about?
I’m so glad my children hug each other often…
Except for those times when the hugs lead to bumped heads!
And that was our Saturday.
