Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>These days, it seems that everyone has a List.
It generally contains 50 or so things to do before you die. And while I appreciate the sentiment, not to mention certain bloggers’ determination to check at least a few items off that list each year, I’ve personally never created one for myself.
That’s because frankly, the thought of making a list like that is way too stressful for me. My list of things to do each day generally is so impossibly long that the thought of adding 50 more things to do before I die makes me feel just a little bit breakdowny.
Plus, your bucket list is supposed to be whimsical and extravagant. Those are the nice words for it. Perhaps the more realistic words, though, are impossible and whatthehellwereyouthinking.
I’m just sayin’.
In light of all this, I’ve decided it would be more interesting and less stressful if I let my Bucket List create itself… and I don’t know why this isn’t a more popular option. Instead of attempting to plan out an exciting future for yourself, why not be open to what your future already holds?
A month ago, for example, Walk the runway in New York City on Fashion Week wouldn’t have made my Bucket List, only because it would’ve seemed too farfetched to ever be accomplished.
One surprise e-mail and a quick trip to the Big Apple later, it’s on my list.
My Reverse Bucket List.
Want to see it?
Creating this list was a true pleasure- Rather than thinking of all the things I haven’t yet done, it made me consider all the cool things I have done in my lifetime. Better yet, I get to keep adding to it as it happens. Last night, for example, I ate blue cheese ice cream.
BLUE. CHEESE. ICE. CREAM.
Check another item off my Reverse Bucket List!
Okay, so I’ve shown you mine…
Now I want to know- What’s on yours?
