Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

If you are of a certain age, you probably remember the tremendous excitement you felt each year in elementary school when the reel-to-reel projector was wheeled into your classroom for the annual viewing of Peter and the Wolf.
I saw that Disney movie so many times that the music now provides a sort of mental soundtrack for many of my childhood memories. And I’m thrilled that they’re still teaching Peter and the Wolf in music classes today- Both of my kids are very familiar with the music and storyline, as well as each symphony instrument that represents a character.
So, I couldn’t think of anything more fun (not to mention educational) than to take them to see Peter and the Wolf at TPAC’s Polk Theater on Valentine’s Day, featuring both the Nashville Ballet and the Nashville Symphony.
Peter and the Wolf is a wonderful way to introduce your child to both the symphony and the ballet- The symphony is actually providing live music for this production for the first time in years.
Peter and the Wolf will have two showings at TPAC on February 14th at 12:30 and 2:00. Tickets are $23 for adults and $16 for children 12 and under. You can buy tickets in person at the TPAC box office in downtown Nashville, by phone at (615) 782-4040 or online. Visit www.nashvilleballet.com or www.nashvillesymphony.org for tickets and more information.
Thanks to the Nashville Ballet for providing us with tickets to see the production!
