Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

Once upon a time, a boy named Hansel and a girl named Gretel went to play in a nearby forest.
The brother and sister soon lost track of the time, playing with twigs and stones…
collecting beautiful leaves…
…and gazing up into the fiery canopies from whence the leaves came.
After a long while, Hansel began searching for the trail of french fries.
Alas, birds had eaten them all. Only the leaves were left.
Hansel and Gretel wandered through the forest until they came upon a tiny cottage.
Hansel was afraid to enter, lest a witch lived inside, but Gretel was feeling dangerous and went in to explore.
“Don’t worry about me, Hansel,” she told her brother. “Just stay outside and keep watch.”
Inside, Gretel found only a few benches and a window overlooking the beautiful forest. Suddenly, she heard a knock at the door!
It was only her pesky little brother. “I thought I told you to keep watch!” Gretel said crankily.
“Ick awggh gaggalug,” Hansel replied, which translated means, “Mommy came into the forest and found us and she says it’s time to go home and take naps so she can upload all these pictures onto her blog.”
