Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>Hubs spent the last two evenings in the emergency room, after finding a large boil on his forearm that turned out to be a staph infection. He’s had a fever of 102 for the last 12 hours and is back at the doctor this morning. His white cell count was normal last night, which was a relief, and means that his infection probably isn’t the deadly kind. But still. Not fun.
On top of that, Bruiser woke this morning with a horrible chest cough and is headed for the doctor this afternoon. Why is this all happening to me now? Well, I’m pretty sure this guy is responsible.
Yes, those of you who guessed that I spotted George at Gentry Farms on Saturday were correct. And now, I’m sad to say, George’s infamous Staphylocoughcus Curse seems to have been placed upon our house. Dang you, George! Luckily, we’ll have our revenge this Saturday, when our team plays his in a rematch. Watch yourself, George! Your three-year-olds are going down!
Okay, so I’ll try my best to have the winners of the bad baby names contest up this afternoon, but it just might be tomorrow morning before I get around to it. Please try to contain your excitement.

>Holy shit. I hope everyone is ok!
>Holy Shit times 2! I hope things are getting a bit better…kick George’s ASS!!!!
>If I see George in Publix I am running away! (If I see him in the parking lot, I could rev up the engine, though…eh?) ;)Hope Hubs and Bruiser are feeling better soon. High fevers are NOT fun as an adult.
>Ugh–may you escape the wrath of the flesh-eating virus. Or staph. You know.
>I hope all get better.I think George goes to church with us.
>Sending lots of get-well wishes to your husband and son…
>My three year old had that last year. What finally worked was colliodal silver, reccommended by the naturopath. Seems that works even for the antibiotic resistant strain. It started clearing up right away after we started with it. And it was on her face, which was very sad.Best wishes for hubs recovery.
>MRSA has been foudn in a local school and they had to scrub it from top to bottom before they let kids back in. My kids were hoping for a MRSA snow day, but when I told them how miserable a MRSA infection could be, they changed their minds. Here’s hoping your hubby heals fast and thoroughly.
>Your poor husband! I hope he’s feeling better soon. (of course, now I’m wondering if this inflamed pimple like thing on daughter’s armpit area is something to be concerned about)
