Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

“I already am famous,” she said casually, flopping down on the sofa.
“What do you mean?” she was asked.
“I’ve been in a commercial and someone writes about me,” she sighed, her eyes focused on the screen.
I giggled. With a TV reporting dad and a blogging mom, Punky was born into small time fame. She appeared in a popular news promo several months ago, and between that and regular appearances on my blogs, she’s had people coming up to her exclaiming, “That’s Punky!” or “You’re the little girl from television!” for as long as she can remember.
Thankfully, she couldn’t care less. She takes it all in stride, as though her kind adult fans are a normal part of life. If anything, it has helped her confidence, since she walks into a room assuming everyone in it is going to like her as long as she behaves herself.
As she gets older, I believe she’ll handle the limited fame much like my stepdaughters have. They’re neither embarrassed by their parents nor egotistical. It is what it is. They’re always eager to tell us funny stories about friends and teachers who talk of watching their dad on the news or reading something I’ve written. But they don’t think it’s that big of a deal. After all, this is Nashville, where Nicole Kidman sightings are commonplace and every kid knows someone whose mom or dad is famous.
But I really got a good indication of how Punky’s handling her child-of-a-TV-personality status last night, when Hubs anchored the evening news. Here’s what happened…
Yep. I don’t think it’s going to her head at all…
