Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

This post was written in partnership with prAna. All opinions are my own.
I’ve discovered a new clothing brand that I LOVE and I seriously can’t wait to tell you about it.
I was excited to have the opportunity to try out the prAna clothing line, because I could tell just by looking at the website that we were meant to be together. The brand is clearly targeted toward someone like me, who’s constantly traveling/hiking/cooking/carpooling/bicycling/date-nighting/road tripping… well, you get the picture. Too often, I find myself changing clothes multiple times during the day to accommodate all my different activities, and that is SO annoying. The fact that so many pieces from prAna can transition easily from a yoga class to an airport to a casual dinner out makes their clothing, well, perfect.
Until I started wearing them, though, I seriously had no idea just how much I was going to love my new prAna clothes. From the time I tried everything on, I could tell the fabrics were of superior quality. The foundation pieces were super-soft. The leggings and skirt I chose were comfortable, yet offered a perfect amount of support. The sweaters and jackets are cozy and soft and warm.
It’s all holding up great through repeated washings and I already know I’m a prAna fan for life. Instantly, my prAna clothes have become my go-to wardrobe staples — I’ve worn my prAna pieces at the gym, in business meetings, at coffee with friends, and at a Titans football game — and I’m wearing them now, on a road trip to Cincinnati. prAna clothing truly works in almost every social setting.
What makes it even better is prAna’s commitment to sustainability. One way prAna is committed to producing clothing that’s good for the consumer, the laborers and suppliers, and the earth is by using hemp in its fabrics. And if you’re thinking of wrinkled, rough hippie gear when fabric made with hemp comes to mind, think again. prAna blends hemp with other materials like organic cotton, recycled polyester, and spandex so that the resulting fabric is lightweight and breathable. Check out this video and you’ll get as excited about prAna’s hemp fabric as I was after I watched it. I had no idea that hemp clothing had so many cool benefits, both for me and for our environment!
