Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

I was in Atlanta last weekend and came across a letter I wrote to my grandparents when I was ten years old.
Not much has changed, huh?

Cutest letter ever! I love that it has your age, right down to the month, at the top.
Dying. I had a typewriter without a ! key; I had to type a single quote mark, then backspace (manually, of course) and type a period under it. Didn’t stop me from peppering my letters to my aunt with exclamation points. (I badly needed an editor.)
Love it!
Fabulous! But what I want to know is do you still have the Cabbage Patch Twins?
Heck yes! Very disappointed that my daughter was never interested in my FABULOUS Cabbage Patch Kid collection… 😉
My father kept a lot of my old letters. It cracks me up to see what I had to say and what was important to me back then!! In one letter I ‘fess up to my mom that I shaved my legs… When I was at my grandparents house and 6 hours away from her wanting to kill me for doing so…ha….
OMG, how cute are you? 🙂 So chatty and polite! I bet your grandparents got a huge kick out of you!
