Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

First off, these three people made my week a whole lot better than it would have been otherwise. It’s not easy coming home from what may have been the best vacation of all time ever. But we’ve had a lot of fun together this week… and I’m glad we got to spend some quality time together here at home.
There are always a few little things I run across each week that I want to share with you. Here are a few of my favorites…
This is literally the craziest optical illusion of all time. Hands down. Look at the cross in the middle of the page while the photos change, and watch the weirdness ensue. This makes me question EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I just finished The Fault in Our Stars, which was the most heartbreaking, amazing tale of star-crossed teens in love since Romeo and Juliet. Read it if you don’t mind crying. A lot.

Over at The Prowl, I asked for your favorite albums of all time– and got some great answers. Check them out if you’re looking for great new music.
After coming down from last week’s Disney high, it was nice to get The Little Mermaid on Blu-Ray in the mail this week. It’s coming out October first, and it’s one of my all-time favorite Disney movies. Yes, I can sing every word of “Part of Your World” by heart. Shut up.
In honor of National Stepfamily Day, I wrote a very honest post with 5 tips for blended families– tips I learned the hard way. Don’t make my mistakes, people.
Dennis and I just watched Hope Springs and we loved it SO MUCH. I think it’s my favorite movie I’ve seen this year. The acting is superb and it will really make you assess the state of your marriage in a positive way.
The Love Dare for Parents came in the mail this morning and I’m so excited about reading it! I can’t wait to try it out on the kids. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Finally, if you missed it earlier this week, I’m pretty excited that one of you is going to win a Keurig Brewing System and Green Mountain Coffee gift basket. I LOVE my Keurig and I LOVE Green Mountain Coffee and *small voice* I’ve already used both products three times today. If you’d like to enter to win this fabulous grand prize, go to this post and leave a comment.

I adored Hope Springs. I can’t wait for it to come on Satellite TV here so my husband can watch it too. Aside from the main message in it, I’m also so happy that older actors are getting real leading roles that show love, romance and hot-chacha.
I need to check out the step family post. Glad you had a great vacation. Oh how I dream of a nice family vacation.
