Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.
I love Our Party. I love Us. I love everyone who comes to Our Party. I expect this year to be just as fun, hilarious and amazing as it’s been every other year.
Sadly I moved from San Diego to the Pacific Northwest. I have decided to start a blog for fun and I wish I could meet all of the bloggers I read. You ladies rock!
Man. So sad I keep missing these things!
In 2007 it was because I missed the memo. LOL!
In 2008 it was because circumstances demanded I leave before days end on the second day. SOB.
And I haven’t been able to return to BlogHer since. (insert very sad face here)
But I hope you guys have another amazing time this year. It looks like the party to end all parties. 🙂
This is by far one of my favorite BlogHer traditions. And you know why? I think because it started so completely organically, and you guys have added sponsors but managed to maintain the spirit of that first party (that I wasn’t at, but still, I can tell!)
That’s what I love about it too. Even when it gets bigger, we’re still doing the same things, WITH A FULL BAR AND DANCE FLOOR. And you just can’t argue with that! 😉
Aw, man. I would love to go to Blogher!! I just switched gears with my blog and have big dreams about where it could ultimately go. Eat a cheeseburger for me!!
I love that I now know the history & story behind it. Now I’m looking even more forward to ending my first BlogHer experience at the CheeseburgHER party!

Ok, so I’m reading this after having attended my first BlogHer conference – and my first CheeseburgHer party, which was definitely one of the best parts of the whole weekend. Â I may or may not have teared up a little bit reading this post. Â I may or may not be PMSing. Â I love that the BlogHer/CheeseburgHer community is one in which I can admit these things.
That is so awesome! I tear up a little THINKING about the party. This year in particular, the CheeseburgHer Party really seemed like the epitome of what BlogHer should be about- I literally danced with total strangers the whole night and didn’t feel the slightest bit self-conscious. To me, that means EVERYTHING! 🙂

I love it every year but this year- 2012-was even more fun than the last two. I don’t know why but it had the some of the same old school vibe that I first encountered in 2008. Thanks for doing this ladies it made my weekend!

Me, too! I mean, we’re just writers! ;D

One word: AIRPLANE. 🙂

Aww, I hope you make it to a future BlogHer, Marilyn!
Such fabulous memories – and each year it was excellent. Can’t wait to go again!
See you there! 🙂
Awesomesauce. I mean AwesomeKetchup. See you soon, Lindsay!
LOL. Can’t wait!

I just love y’all. My tribe. With or without the cheeseburgers, although I do like a good hat on my head. See you soon my friend.
Can. Not. WAIT.
Man… every year I read about these parties and vow then and there to start a blog so I’d have a reason to go. Looks awesome!
You don’t technically HAVE to have a blog… You could get a t-shirt that says ‘Commenting since 2006’ and people would FLOCK TO YOU. 😀
Hoping to run into you this year for longer than an elevator ride. I mean, BlogHer ’10 elevator rides were the LONGEST ELEVATOR RIDES EVER, but still.
🙂
ME TOO. Let’s try to make at least a few minutes of time to chat when we see each other!
Would love to! Lots!

It’s a cheesy saying, but I really believe that if you can dream it, you can do it! Good luck with your new direction!
It would be so cool to come! Perhaps someday when I’m not pregnant 🙂

Hope you can make it some day soon!
Aw, sniff. Well when you put it that way…
I can’t wait!
See you there!
CheeseburgHer ’10 held some of my fondest BlogHer memories. CANNOT WAIT for this year!
Awesome! Neither can I!
I love that I now know the history & story behind it. Now I’m looking even more forward to ending my first BlogHer experience at the CheeseburgHER party!
Yay! BlogHer can be overwhelming, please don’t hesitate to message me if you need a friend to help navigate! 🙂

As if I weren’t already bummed I had to change my plans (well I didn’t change my plans.. the family did) now I see I’m missing this?!
I will be there this year! Looking forward to meeting as many people as I can!
Fantastic, Christy! Be sure to introduce yourself. 🙂
I’m such a softie! This story totally made me cry. I’ll be there for sure!
