>It Was Time

Even though I had a lot of work to do…
And even though it would have been far easier to stay at home…
And even though there was plenty to do in our own backyard…
The weather was lovely and I had two monkeys clamoring to get out. A visit to the park was in order.
There were old friends to meet up with (These two have had playdates together since they were six months old)…
And spring gardens to explore and admire…
And scarecrows!
There was a brand new wigwam simply begging to offer shelter to a toddler and his sippy cup.
There were new friendships to forge.
And there was mischief to be made…
And I realized that on a beautiful spring day, there is always time for the park. The work can wait.
My children can’t.
