Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

I know, I know- I haven’t posted for a few days now, but that’s only because last week was Bruiser’s 6th birthday, and he reacted with the same crazed zeal of a Bridezilla preparing for her wedding. And so last week was filled with special birthday activities. Dinner INSIDE McDonalds! Pottery painting at Brushfire! An Angry Birds balloon from Publix! A party at Chuck E. Cheese!
By the end of the week, I was exhausted.
Birthday week has been followed by not one, but TWO weeks of Spring Break. The kids are on vacation, but I am not, and so each morning I get up and work for two or three hours while they play. After that, I’d ordinarily work on my blog. But how can I do that when there’s the possibility of this?
I can’t miss out on these opportunities, y’all. I am painfully aware that this time passes by too fast and that I only have so many hours with these two before they grow up and are on their own.
And so for the next two weeks, I’m leaning out.
I’m going to spend as much time with my kids during their break as possible. Posting here will be light– If I have time, I’ll write something. If I don’t, I’m not going to stress out about it.
You understand, right?

Totally understand! Have fun with the kids! 🙂
Understand. 🙂 That’s where I’ve been for, oh, the past several months! I have a blog and I love to write, but right now my kiddos and my husband have to come first and I’m okay with that. My babies aren’t going to be little forever.
Totally. I did the same thing last week. It was great!
