Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>”Who can tell me a word that starts with P?” Punky’s teacher asked the wriggly group of five-year-olds seated before her on the brightly-colored kindergarten rug. Instantly, every hand was up.
“Mark?”
“Pumpkin!”
The teacher wrote the word down.
“Sally?”
“Paper!”
“Darius?”
“Potato!”
The list grew. Finally, the teacher got around to my daughter.
“Punky?”
“Poo poo!” Punky shouted. The class erupted in laughter and Punky looked around, pleased with herself. From where I was cutting out freshly laminated shapes in the back of the room, I smiled and shook my head. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have ourselves a budding class clown.
And heaven knows where she got that from.
