Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

By sharing an intensely personal moment, Heather made herself vulnerable before an often harsh readership and impressed me even more with her openness than she has already. There’s a reason she’s the Queen of the Mommybloggers, y’all, and this is just one of them.
Now I hope you’ll check out the other Perfect Post Award winners for October, either here or at my co-host Kimberly’s place. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll bookmark. Trust me. Oh, and if you’d like to participate in future Perfect Post Awards, just shoot me an e-mail and I’ll add you to the mailing list.

>Well, here’s something else to prevent me from taking a nap or a shower while Braden naps today…I read Heather’s post about miscarriage when she put it up (devoted doocie) and it ripped my heart out.I know several people who have experienced this, and it’s such a hard topic to talk about. The right words just never seem to be there….Her openness was stunning. I hope she has found peace.
>Heather’s post was spot on — that’s almost exactly what happened to me with both my miscarriages…. physically and emotionally and the questions after the fact.Deserving of an award!
>Thanks for mentioning Heather’s post. I went through the same thing in January and I agree with her: it’s just awful.
>With NaBlo, I haven’t got a chance to read these yet, but can’t wait to come back and get to them! I love reading them every month! Thanks!
>Bit late catching up on my blog reading – sometimes work becomes a real distraction.I had already read Heather’s post before you awarded her and I agree – very deserving. But, not sure about ‘not knowing you from Adam’ – I think I originally found you via Dooce.
