Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

As you’ve no doubt noticed, the current conflict in the Middle East is having an impact on gas prices around town.
My husband just got back from the Highway 100 Kroger station after waiting in a line full of customers trying to buy gas before prices go up any higher. When he finally got to the pump, he watched an irate man confront the young cashier in the checkout window.
“You raised the prices while we were shopping!” he fumed.
As if the poor teenager behind the counter had anything to do with the price hike. What exactly did the man expect him to say, anyway?
“Sorry, sir, I’ve put in a call to Israel and I’m waiting to hear back on how things are going. I’ll be sure to let them know about your concerns.”
