Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>ME: …That’s like when I was pregnant with Punky and you called me and said, “Lindsay, I’ve told all my friends the news and you wouldn’t believe it! People are jumping off the rooftops around here! And I was like, “They’re committing suicide because I’m pregnant?!”
MOM: I never said that!
ME: Oh my gosh, you totally said that! I laughed for weeks afterward, just thinking about it!
MOM: (fuming as everyone sits around laughing) Lindsay, sometimes you just make me want to… to… set my hair on fire!

>LOL reminds me of my mom… She says the weirdest things… I am still trying to figure out what “your sisters tomatoes” means… And my favorite is “I am so livered” and me being the wise ass, saying under my breath livid… Oh and the one that really annoys her MOM “ask me how pissed I was” ME “how pissed where you?” MOM “(her telling me how pissed she was and then throwing in ) shut up”… My mom is always good for a laugh…
>Ha! Doesn’t sound too far off from how I (accidentally) make my mom feel sometimes!p.s. – made the sausage stuffing and it was a fantastic hit – thank you thank you thank you! (added some chopped celery and a couple cloves of garlic as well, fyi – celery for the crunch and garlic for the … garlic) worked out well
>Thanks for the Cranberry-Apple Casserole recipe. My FIL asked for seconds and never even touched MIL’s plain cranberry sauce. Oops!I’ll definitely make it again.
>So, it ISN’T just us with the weird family anecdotes at the holiday gatherings…;)Gift idea for your mom: a hair fire extinguisher…
>This is the funniest thing ever. I can totally picture the conversation and facial expressions.
