Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>I still remember that bygone BlogHer of yore, when a few friends and I invited everyone we saw in the hallways to come to our room at the end of the night for a room party. Before the party began, we stopped by a nearby McDonalds for a few bags of cheeseburgers and fries.
A couple of us put the bags on our heads. As the scent of cheeseburgers wafted through the hallways, the room quickly filled. Security was called.
A legend was born.
Last year, Alpha Mom sponsored our cheeseburgher extravaganza, providing us with a suite to entertain all friends of Cheeseburgher and some classy wine to go with the grub. Once again, the suite filled way beyond its capacity…
…and our spot in the Cheeseburger Party Hall of Fame was sealed.
This year, McDonalds FINALLY got in on the action. They sponsored our party, along with Dr. Pepper and Snapple, which meant that we were able to rent out the 2500-square-foot Presidential Suite at this year’s BlogHer conference hotel, and hire a butler.
This is the story of CheeseburgHer 2009.
Yvonne was the official picture taker. But I couldn’t help taking a few pictures, too.
I was so happy to finally, finally meet Grace Davis, a blogger I’ve loved ever since I started blogging back in 2005.
And my goal of getting a picture with Lisa Stone in a bag hat was realized as well!
Sundry was there, fussing with her hat, which was ridiculous because come on. The woman could wear a BAG on her head and still look good. And, um, she did!
And there were babies at the party, too! Quite a lot of babies, actually. And all of them wore bag hats.Of course, the party wasn’t complete until security showed up…
The big boss was called in after the guests proved reluctant to vacate our abode. That’s when Isabel called out the big guns, promising this guy a record deal if he’d just let us eat our cheeseburgers in peace.
It didn’t work.
Our guests were forced to leave, a mere two hours after the party had begun. And it was a good thing, because we were completely
out
of cheeseburgers.
