Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

>I still vividly remember my first nightmare.
I was three. I was playing outside, when two Ronald McDonalds appeared on the scene. One of them rolled me into a ball and they began playing catch with me. I was begging, crying, screaming for them to stop…
But they just ignored me.
Understandably, I’ve been terrified of Ronald McDonald ever since. But when I saw him making a guest appearance at BlogHer yesterday, I decided that at the age of 34, it was time to finally face my fears.
Bravely, I confronted him.
“You were my first nightmare,” I told him, trembling. “But I’m ready now to overcome my terror of men wearing bright red wigs.”
“Oh, he said. “Okay.” Warily, he put one arm around me for a picture.
I looked at the camera.
And I was liberated from my lifelong phobia.
