Hi! I'm Lindsay Ferrier. You might remember me from a blog called Suburban Turmoil. Well, a lot has changed since I started that blog in 2005. My kids grew up, I got a divorce, and I finally left the suburbs for the heart of Nashville, where I feel like I truly belong. I have no idea what the future will hold and you know what? I'm okay with that. Thrilled, actually. It was time for something totally different.

This blog was Soccer Central last fall, when Hubs coached Punky’s team of preschool-aged soccer players. Our team consisted of several three-year-olds and one five-year-old who was assigned to our team by the league and turned out to be a naturally great soccer player. And because of that, Punky’s first soccer season was filled with angry, shouting parents and coaches, all pointing fingers at our five-year-old wunderkind. It included several e-mails and at least one blog post accusing my husband of “recruiting a ringer” for our team.
This season, our five-year-old cycled up into another division and the drama left the team along with her. The funny thing is that since my husband really is an excellent coach and we have some smart and hardy little players, our team of now-four-year-olds is still winning games by the same embarrassingly wide margin as they did with our “ringer” (unfortunately, Punky continues to be the player collecting rocks in the center of the field- She definitely gets the award for Miss Congeniality, though!) But the parents seem to be mollified by the fact that all the kids are the same size.
This means that I haven’t had much to write about. The only drama, in fact, that I could scare up this season took place off the field, when one-year-old Bruiser found another player’s bottle of Gatorade.

It was all fun and games…

…until someone took the bottle away.

Leave it to his adoring sister to find the bottle and give it back to her brother.
And there you have it. This season’s sole soccer drama.
