>The Crush

  1. Butrfly4404 says:

    >I may have been crushing on my new GYN then. She’s a woman. That’s cool, right? She was the awesomest doctor I’ve ever seen! Thourough, but not nosy. Polite, but not wimpy. I fell out of that crush when I got the bill, but for like two months, she ranked Supreme in Doctor Land. I don’t think I could let a cute guy get ‘all up in there.’

  2. uumomma says:

    >Our pediatrician is just like that! Only he writes out prescriptions (on a cool “special” pad) for stuff like ice cream and popsicles…i love himerika

  3. Anonymous says:

    >Totally crushing on my OB right now too. He’s my own Dr. McDreamy!

  4. Worker Mommy says:

    >We are on our 3rd pediatrician and the twins are only 4. I was devasted when the first one left because he was a God and I knew that only after 2 months of my children seeing him. He left and took a different type of position at another facility. Our next ped. was a woman and she saw them from about 3 months to 3yrs. She left for a practice closer to her home. I was again crushed because I loved her too but her new practice wasn’t convenient for us. We just saw a new ped last week at their 4 yr check up and the way he came in introduced himself to me and then sat down and engaged the the twins in conversation about healthy eating, safety and other things i fell in love all over again! Maybe I’ll luck out this time and he’ll stick around until they’re 18. I can only hope!

  5. kathy says:

    >I have to agree, having a crush on a male OB would seem awkward. But as for pediatricians… Ours has 4 very grown kids (so he’s not McDreamy, so to speak) but I still have a weird crush on him… I could never tell hubby that though, it’s one of those things he’d never understand.

  6. Kate says:

    >Here’s a good story: my son got ear tubes by the hottest ENT ever. About a month after this surgery was another surgery for something else. He saw me in the waiting room and came over to talk to me. He asked, “What’s going on?” And having no idea that he was really wondering why my son was here again, I replied as I flipped my hair and tilted my head, “Not much, how about you?”. A quick jab in the ribs from my mother was all I needed to get back to reality.

  7. Lauren says:

    >Ya know, my OB was not “hot” by my standards when we first met, but let me tell you what… I did fall in love with him! He took such good care of me, my baby AND my husband it was pretty hard not to.I think the key is just finding someone who clicks with your personality, parenting style and needs. When you do find that person, male or female, trust me – you will be in love!

  8. >Kate! That story cracked me up!

  9. Jenny Rough says:

    >I have a crush on Dr. Carver just reading about him!

  10. >No kidding! You betcha Bruiser gets Dr. Carver as his doctor!! Any doctor who gets that they are supposed to partner with us parents (or patients, as the case may be), and not just summarily order us around – is Aces in my book! Grab him up quick Suburban! Oh yeah – you already did! (^_^)

  11. Ginger says:

    >hee! My OB/GYN is Dr. Burch. I always say he is as cute as a speckled pup. I’m ok with naming him, because he knows of my admiration: when I was, uh, anesthetized, before surgery, I proceeded to inform he & everybody of how hot he is. I’d venture to say that it wasn’t the first time that’s happened to him!

  12. >”You’ve covered everything, Dr. Carver,” I said fervently, shaking his hand. “Thank you. Oh, thank you.”That’s just hilarious. I totally understand the final straw to crushdom being… clarity of communication. It’s a biggie.Rock on.

  13. cce says:

    >Yup, had my own crush on the pediatrician except, except, it was rather embarrasing and sticky b/c he was also my husband’s cousin. But ohhh was he great with my kids. There were house calls and he would escort us to the ER so we wouldn’t have to wait and there was the X-mas eve we spent together at the hospital when my G had pneumonia. Had to move all the way up the Eastern seaboard to get free of that one. Now we are patients at a group practice with about 1200 docs and never the same person twice. Can’t even tell them apart at this point. Drag, throat cultures are just no fun anymore.

  14. annie says:

    >Both my OB’s when I had my babies were men. I liked them both, but the first one, yes, I was in love with him. So was every other woman in town. He was just so sweet and caring AND a great sense of humor. And his waiting room looked like a luxury furniture showroom, with artwork and nice lighting and comfy recliners for pregnant women.

  15. Denise says:

    >Can I get Dr. Carver’s number or are you keeping that private? LOL!

  16. Kimberly says:

    >Hee hee…I’m going to be giggling over that all day. Alas, we live in a really remote area that doesn’t attract hot young docs. ~pouts a bit~

  17. >Well gee whillikers, you don’t need to LOVE your medicos. I don’t. Unless they’re girls, of course.

  18. Darth Doc says:

    >DeniseI bet it’s an alias. Punky and Bruiser probably go to the premier practice in town.He sounds like he is either my kids pediatrician or one of his partners.

  19. Slackermommy says:

    >I have a huge crush on my OB/Gyn. It’s not weird at all for me. I think I get off on it in a sick desperate housewife kind of way. I joke with him that I keep getting pregnant (I have 4) so I can see him on a regular basis.

  20. Maggie says:

    >My husband would die laughing if I told him I had a crush on our OB. He’s the ugliest man alive!!!!!!

  21. Jodi says:

    >”My decision? I got to make a decision at a doctor’s office? My eyes grew dewy.” HAHAHAHA. Too true. Too true. Our peditrician is very good looking too, but he’s my kids “Dr Wogan”, so I don’t think of him that way. Anymore. 🙂

  22. Anonymous says:

    >OMG. My son’s doctor is handsome and single. Am I wrong to fantasize about him CONSTANTLY? Because I do. It’s time for me to visit TrueMomConfessions!!!

  23. Josiah Veren says:
